Mounting for tall cabinets

It's best to take a photo of the rail. The one from METOD is very long and needs to be cut to size. The cabinets are easiest to hang from the side.

But unfortunately, as described above, it does not fit onto these hangers on the cabinets. I have tried from all sides, turned it, they cannot be hooked in. I will go to Ikea today and ask there, maybe I am doing something wrong.

Yesterday I got 4 more cabinets, 2 of them wall cabinets, and now the rail works. I must have had the wrong hooks before somehow, but now it’s fine. I fixed the tall cabinet with 2 8mm dowels, as the fridge and oven are supposed to go in there.
