hello!

I just remembered an article I read a few years ago, which reported that on behalf of the Denkmalamt in Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg, 60 trees and bushes were to be removed in order to restore the condition of the 1930s in a residential area. and all this so that this settlement could be included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
isn't that absurd?

best regards,
Mara

hello! yes, I can also tell you about a case that is more than curious! our former neighbor wanted to have two trees cut down in the garden, for whatever reason I don’t know. I only know that there was a strict no from the municipality and the environmental office, after the woman passed away years later and the municipality bought the house, the trees were cut down to make room for a skatepark! well, that’s how it is best regards, rosanne

hi the issue with [Denkmalschutz] is always a tricky one. one says yes, it is protected, another says no, let's get rid of it. in the end, what ends up happening is whatever the person decides who either has the greater influence or the most money available. I would say that is our society.
