Hello,

I have mold in my apartment and have already made my landlord aware of it, but he is not taking any action. Can I now reduce my rent?

So I would move out immediately. I hope you know how dangerous mold is. It can have long-term consequences, and it won’t help you if you maybe pay 50€ less now.

I would say the same. Get out of that apartment immediately, it is totally dangerous. It can really make you sick and also long-term. Those few bucks won't help you at all.

yes i already know that it is dangerous, but i simply cannot afford a move.

And if i pay a little less rent for a few months now, then i can afford the move eventually

I simply wouldn’t pay anymore, then you’ll have the money together. Maybe you’ll get kicked out of your apartment, but that’s basically what you want anyway

yes, well as far as I know, you are allowed to lower the rent, but how much and for how long you are allowed to lower it, I don't know at all. Luckily, I don't have such a problem. I would also move out immediately
