So, we now have every builder's nightmare: mold. At the moment, only on the drywall and only in the corners, where they meet the (still) damp interior plaster. Partly already very extensive and black and fuzzy. We will not tolerate just surface stains. Now I read 90% that moldy drywall must definitely be replaced and not just treated with a mold spray. Primarily because drywall is apparently a super mold-friendly material that allows mold to multiply even beneath the surface. We will try to enforce a replacement of the walls (we also have an expert), but just for peace of mind, I would like to know: if the mold has only been there for a few days, is it possible that it is actually only superficial, or was the problem already lurking beneath the surface before it even appeared on the surface? Thanks in advance for your answers!
