Hello everyone,

we have bought a single-family house built in 2006. The construction company is a renowned company with a very good reputation and quality. Unfortunately, the insulation was done by the previous owners as a DIY job. Now we have noticed stains on the drywall on the northwest side. You can tell that this area is colder. Could this only be a thermal bridge (bedroom) and condensation caused by high humidity, or could it be mold? Should we have the drywall removed?

Thank you very much for your opinion.

Hello, is there air or uninsulated space between the first rafter and the masonry? Is there insulation between the rafters/vapor barrier/insulation below the rafters installed here? Was the vapor barrier professionally sealed to the masonry? What insulation thicknesses were installed with which U-value? 032, 035, 040? Regards Christoph
