Hello,

on a wall in the basement I have a -let's call it- damp spot that extends over about 3m. The basement does not smell and it also looks rather superficial. Mainly ironing, washing, and hanging laundry is done here. Could it possibly be because of that? How can I find out if it is not water damage or something along those lines? I don’t want to hire an expert right away.

Thanks for your answers!

That can have many causes...

- It could be because you dry your laundry in the basement
- Continuous airing of the basement at the temperatures of the last few weeks would also not be beneficial
- Or 's assumption or all of it together
- What is going on with the tiled floor in front of it?

There are such moisture meters from Trotec and other manufacturers.

If you mean this dark spot: The washing machine used to stand there.
