Hello,
sorry for the late reply, currently quite busy.
There are several causes,
on the one hand, I have detected several leaks in the vapor barrier. Another main cause was an opening on the ground floor through which the wastewater ventilation pipe was installed. This opening was not sealed, allowing water vapor to penetrate into the roof and the moisture to spread within the insulation.
Current status:
My main contractor had the insulation replaced and the vapor barrier as well as the leaks taped up. Unfortunately, it was not documented what was replaced where. Moisture is no longer visible.
In response to my defect notice according to VOB with a deadline of 31.01.2017, I was informed that a legal review was being conducted to see if the contract could be terminated (this was just before Christmas), because I had seriously damaged the trust through my behavior.
By now, I can even laugh about that.
Well, the construction work went on and is now in its final stages.
In my defect notice, I demanded that if the main contractor does not follow the recommendations of the expert report, a microbiological report should be prepared, in which I can determine at which points samples are taken.
I am very curious about next week's deadline for the defect notice.
The final invoice is certainly due at the beginning of February.
There will certainly be some discussions.
Best regards
Dennis
