Hello,

moisture seems to be rising at the base of our exterior wall (the house is only 5 years old). My plan is now to coat the lower area up to the edge of the paving stones with bitumen paint and to apply sealing slurry on the visible plinth above it, followed by paint.
Do you have any further tips or experiences?
The dimpled membrane also only reached up to the gravel layer in some parts, I probably cut it too deep when paving back then. But that is more for mechanical protection, right?

No, it is definitely important. We had a moisture problem last year, exactly where the dimpled membrane was somewhat neglected and the terrace abuts the wall. I would also definitely install a splash guard. Moisture cannot properly drain off and seep away where the paving meets the house.
