Hi,

I am sure that the mint will also thrive well here, but you should make sure to overwinter it in the basement because I am not sure if it would survive the winter here.

Tea with fresh mint is supposed to be good for the liver so after heavy alcohol consumption, mint tea works wonders I have tried it myself

Better start in spring and in the meantime use second-hand herbs from the Arabic store, if you have one near you.

The mint is also sold as "Moroccan Mint" and is said to be frost-resistant. However, I have not tried it myself yet...

If you grow Moroccan or the Arabic and NOT the commercial kind, I can tell you that it will be a great pleasure. Simply put the mint into a glass with boiled water and let it steep. It tastes wonderfully delicious! Probably the best mint tea there is.
