Hello dear community,

I was on the construction site today and saw that the tarp above had slipped off part of the mineral wool. Because of the rain, it is now soaking wet. Does it need to be replaced?

I would be very grateful for advice from an expert.

Thank you and best regards

Wherever the glass wool is installed... a bit more information would be good. Once glass wool gets wet, it never reaches exactly the same lambda value after drying as it had after production. Whether this is critical in your case, you have to decide.

It is stone wool, installed between the garage ceiling and the house wall, since the garage is not insulated. The shell builder did that. The house is not insulated yet.

So she definitely has to go outside to dry anyway. My understanding is also that something like this has to be replaced. Don’t you have a construction supervisor?

Yes. He will look at it and assess it. However, I wanted to ask the experts in the forum. What is it based on. Information level. Are there DIN standards or guidelines...

Well. This is a forum, mostly laypeople are here. No experts. For that, you have your expert on site.
