Hi everyone,
a quick question. What is the best way to build a non-load-bearing interior wall for soundproofing?
My carpenter said he always does it with KVH 6x8 cm, OSB 12 mm on both sides, and GKB 12.5 mm for a 13 cm thick wall. Another one uses 28x78 mm boarding as studs (but then you have to screw the OSB panels very precisely), and yet another uses CW metal stud profiles, he said these transmit less or no sound at all compared to wood...
Is that correct?
Regards
