Making and storing lime plasters yourself

OK, I understood it that way: it is possible to store it airtight as a mixture for a certain time; I will just have to try it myself to be sure.

For the base plaster, I would use the white hydrated lime CL90 - 2 parts lime 5 parts sand.

What does a good mixture look like if you want to scrape or trowel it with the plastic board? I just know it as a creamy mass when I work with WeberScheibenputz. Assuming 1mm grain size, how many parts sand should I take?

Just say that you want to use it immediately. That’s not storing, what you mean. You can simply fill sacks with the intention and then use it as written.

Advanced chemistry class. Pure air lime hardens as long as it is not airtight sealed – in addition, CO2 is needed for the chemical reaction. You can pour the lime into water and cover it – that is called slaked lime.

But it doesn’t matter anyway, since the original poster processes it immediately.
