Looking for temporary power alternatives - is an emergency generator useful?

all our trades managed with the normal extension cable, the bricklayers apparently brought a different cutting machine but a brief info was enough for that.
Only the crane wouldn't have worked, but that can be discussed.

I did not know how far we would get with a "normal" power connection, for example from the neighbors.

The most important statement in the end is that there are options to bridge a few weeks in an emergency.

Here in Lower Saxony, the connection for construction power luckily costs "only" a few hundred euros. In Bremen, for example, over 1000€ are charged for the same service.
