Hello,

I am looking for suitable "smart" radiator thermostats for acquaintances of mine.

The radiator thermostats don’t need to have many features.

They want to do the following with them:

Set the desired temperature and the thermostat does the rest.
Open window detection.
Possibly schedules (if it doesn’t have this, it’s also okay)
Option to retrofit window sensors that can communicate with the thermostats (also not mandatory)

They only need 2 units and have no other smart home devices and no further plans.

Many thermostats require a bridge; with only 2 units this is a bit too much, so they would prefer Wifi.

Can you possibly give a few tips on which ones might be suitable?

Shelly works with Wi-Fi. However, the window sensors are quite ugly.

thank you for your quick response

the window sensors are only optional (in case they decide to use some after all) for now the thermostats should run without window sensors

therefore they should also have an independent (without window sensors) window open detection

are there any others you could recommend?

what do you think of the Hama thermostats? (I think they also need a hub again) but if they are good and the hub is included without the thermostats or the package being much more expensive than others that would be okay too.

does anyone know the comet Wifi from eurotronic?

the following points should also be considered

-only operable via the app (of course weekly schedules and such only work through the app but the temperature should be adjustable on the thermostats)
-also suitable for older people without profound technical knowledge
-definitely without a subscription

does anyone know how the eve thermo works with google?

can they (after the Matter update) just be integrated or do you also need a hub or thread border router?

Honeywell HR30 Have been in use for 8 years on 8 radiators. Not a single one has failed, they just work. However, apart from programming on the thermostat, they are not smart, the only thing they can do is detect open windows based on the temperature drop.

The successor HR30+ Comfort, however, has increased in price from €30 each to €70 (!) each this year...

ok yes they are not cheaper than the smart ones either

and the ones from Honeywell are also not a visual highlight

if possible they should be relatively plain

If you happen to have a FritzBox at home, the DECT thermostats from AVM might be an alternative.
