Long waiting time - building permit deadline

we live in NRW, Ratingen... but we plan to move back to our home... that would be the North/East Harz...

Just for your information (if it helps), how it went for us:

Submitted in week 12. Response that something was missing in week 16 (replied the very next day). Approval in week 28.

We were told that in Stuttgart it is much worse.

We waited for about 2 months in Berlin. Since no development plan was available and additionally the "Obere Luftfahrtbehörde" had to approve due to the airport proximity. Otherwise, in Berlin, the period is 1 month after approval by all approval-required authorities. With a development plan, it is probably easier.

whereas you wouldn't start building anyway at the moment, right? but the waiting time is already unpleasant...

That is probably true, but it would be nice to have them in hand. Then I have the feeling that it goes on. In addition, our contract states that our construction company will not start until 3 or 4 months (I don't remember exactly) after the building permit is granted.
