What are you allowed to do? - the house in the example picture could even have only 1 residential floor depending on the reference height.

It would bother me if I had to overcome 2 floors every time to get from the bedroom to the living room. I can imagine children under the roof better in that case. In my opinion, the best thing is to have as few stairs as possible and thus build only 2 floors. I think the plan to place the living area downstairs by the garden is very good!

Yes, I think 1.5 floors are possible. I expressed myself incorrectly. Thank you for your input.

We also considered whether it would be easier to have the entrance door in the basement. You often see that you first have to go down stairs before you reach the entrance door. So along the house and then the entrance door below.

Dividing everything into basement, ground floor, and upper floor would certainly be one option. I think we would then also plan it so that you could possibly build a tenant apartment from the upper floor. At least prepare everything. I will now look for some room layouts, maybe an interesting layout will be found. In the end, a professional will have to work on it anyway.

Thank you all

Is possible too, but you often walk up the stairs. On a sloping property always try to create a path without steps. Sack truck, bags for green waste disposal, swing, garden furniture etc

The basement and the ground floor seem to be full floors, the attic with its roof structure does not. Why?

It is quite conceivable that a child could move into the attic or that when all the children have moved out and one still wants to live there, the attic could be rented out. Then there would have to be at least one bathroom there and an entrance planned. Even if a simple room door just becomes the entrance door. I want to keep all options open.
