Hello everyone,

we are slowly reaching the point where we want to tender the shell construction.

Since I do not want to lower the ceilings, I would like to define the corresponding light outlets now in order to already provide for them in the concrete ceilings during the shell construction.

I have now read some threads on the subject and looked through some architectural designs for inspiration. The result is the rough plan attached. I simply marked the respective points for the light sources on screenshots of my floor plans.

Red points: Spots (I would like to use the Constaled 24V Deep Tunable White 4+4W spots. I also want to install a KNX bus.
Blue points: Ceiling outlets with 230V for pendant lights or normal ceiling lights
Green points: Floor/table lamps
Purple points/lines: Wall lights

Since I have not really completed the bathroom planning yet, I have not planned any lights there.

I would appreciate feedback as well as further ideas and suggestions for improvement.

If anyone knows a recommended lighting planner in Cologne and the surrounding area, I would also appreciate tips.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Christian

There are too few spots and they are arranged oddly. Why always in pairs? I would leave out the ones in the living room entirely, spots there are just uncomfortable. The ceiling outlet above the coffee table... get rid of it. More spots in the hallway and kitchen, and distribute them evenly. In the huge kitchen, there should be at least 20 spots. Above the island makes sense as planned, but the rest is totally random at the moment. The same upstairs, the arrangement is totally strange. In the dressing room, the central placement is not good either; 2x2 close to the wardrobes/mirrors would be better in my opinion. Overall, not successful at all for me, the money for a lighting planner would definitely be well spent, although I don't know one. And well, you have an amazing hallway downstairs, you could hold state receptions there with appropriate lighting.

I basically agree with the light.

What also stood out was the position of the shower in the attic ... it really makes no sense there under the sloping ceiling.

Hello everyone,

thank you very much in advance for the detailed feedback.

I liked the drafts from the architect Bünck gang quite well. There I saw the spotlights somewhat distributed in pairs.

The bathroom planning is not quite finalized yet, so in the attic it is only to be seen as an example for now.

Best regards,

Christian

We have now revised the arrangement according to your tips and made it a bit more homogeneous. The first draft was somewhat stochastic. We quite like the paired arrangement, though. As I said, I have seen this in many houses by Bünck and also at A.Punkt Architektur.

Apart from the light, I would move the WC door (EG) from top to left and swap the dining area with the living room,
