The floor does not bounce, I just tested it again. You only notice that it vibrates when you jump. Now the question is, do you have to do a screed with about 1.4cm tolerance or are there other options? I would find it a bit exaggerated to do a screed, it also steals ceiling height. Maik

Hello Maiks,

for such small differences, there is certainly a type of leveling filler, similar to that used with tile coverings.

Best regards from the Osnabrück region

Ah, do I understand this correctly, the filler already contains these fibers, so you don’t have to lay in a mat anymore? How is it with the filler, does it need to have a minimum thickness or can you just pour it in like that? Like there is a dip in the middle and you just pour the filler in there in an exaggerated sense. Maik

Hello,

we have an attic. The floor consists of beams on which ordinary boards are screwed (load capacity 200kg/m²). The problem is that over a length of about 7m we have a slope of 14 cm. What is the best way to fix this?? We were thinking of laying 15mm OSB boards, then a leveling fill, and then 12-15mm OSB boards on top. We have never done anything with a fill before and wanted to ask for tips or other possibilities.

Best regards

Ena and Chris

yeah, that's what I would have said or suggested now. it also helped in our hallway. but as already mentioned, only for minimal differences... the compound is mixed with water in a bucket. you spread this very liquid compound on the floor. due to the liquid consistency, the compound levels the floor. but the floor must first be primed...
