Do terrace slabs have to be flush with the [Tiefbord] or can they also protrude by one cm?

As long as the terrace slab still rests against the deep curb to prevent slipping, it is not a problem. The question is how it looks if the slabs are higher than the deep curb.

The plates are 8cm high, that should be fine, I also can't really imagine it visually. I was only told that it should be done that way because of the water drainage.
