Laying of porcelain stoneware tiles on split

Hello,
quick question: There are porcelain stoneware slabs in 3cm thickness. Can these be laid on [Splitt] without any problems? I was advised against this for 2cm, but I would like to avoid using [Stelzlager].

There are porcelain stoneware slabs that have a concrete substructure (e.g. from Geoceramica or Kann).

Basically, you can. But it also largely depends on the format.
