When it comes to weeds, it's mainly about the substrate. You can design that accordingly. Currently, in the rental property, we have cobblestones with concrete joints, as far as I can identify, nothing comes through there (but moss from above instead :))

Exactly. There must be no soil present. The question is whether granite ceramic slabs can be fixed on an appropriate substructure.

My concrete slabs on the roof terrace above my garage are placed on stilts. They are height-adjustable, so the substructure could be built with a slope and the slabs lie level. Rainwater etc. drains through the joints between the concrete slabs, and there is a drain in the garage roof where the water is then directed to the gutter.
