Hi, we bought a plot of land, or rather secured it (notary appointment mid-September).

"This was removed due to soil contamination and now needs to be properly refilled and compacted for house construction.

The plot has a size of 436m² and must be filled up by 1.70m and compacted in layers.

No recycled material may be used. The city requires Z0 material (with proof)."

I wrote this to all earthworks contractors.

Some offers have already come in, ranging from just under €10,000, €12,500, €18,000 up to almost €40,000.

Now there is a new offer that I received via MyHammer. I think MyHammer is great.
€5,850 sounds almost too cheap to me :D.

The message said:
"My offer includes the delivery of Z0 material, the proper installation and compaction of the material.

I hope to have made you a lucrative offer and remain with kind regards"

Then I asked again which material it is.

Answer:
"Hello Mr. XXX,

The material is a sandy, gravelly material from gabion excavation.
I can send you pictures if needed and remain with kind regards"

Now my question to the experts among you: is this a serious offer or is it recycled material that you are actually not allowed to use?

About the company itself, I found this:

Legal form
UG (limited liability)
Number of employees
1-3
Year of foundation
2014
Training company
No
Business liability insurance
No information

However, according to Google, this company was only registered in the commercial register on 08.12.15.
With a share capital of €500 ... this makes me a bit suspicious.

I hope you can help me.

Best regards

Well. The price is already very low...

Apart from that, excavation material must be sampled as soon as it becomes waste, unless it comes from a field or meadow where contamination is excluded.

Then it surely has an analysis according to LAGA, preferably according to EPP, for the soil? Without such an analysis, no one can guarantee anything to you anyway, especially since you have to prove it anyway.

The cheap offer is missing the excavation, right?

Hi, no, we don't need any excavation, the property is already excavated. We just need to have it filled.

To me, the whole thing sounds more like someone wants to dispose of something here.

How many tons is that in total? 1,000 tons? Calculate that with 10 euros for material, installation, and transport. That already amounts to 10,000 euros.

Yes, it's about 1000 tons. I've contacted him again to ask if he has an analysis according to [Laga] or [epp].
