Hello everyone,
I would need your opinion on a lighting issue. We have a converted attic with a central beam. Unfortunately, the lamp connection is not centered but rather positioned towards the staircase. However, we need the light in the room, so more in the other direction of the beam. I have now bought a 6-light fixture (see photo), which is about 115 cm long. Visually, I like it, but due to the position of the lamp connection, even if I place the fixture so that it is at the outer edge of the lamp, it just about makes the lamp sit somewhat centered on the beam. But I would need the light further towards the front side of the room because my desk is also there. Does anyone have an idea what would be best suited here? I have also thought about Paulmann Urail. It is a rail system where you could theoretically install a 2 or 3 meter long rail and then place spots freely there. That I would still need a desk lamp is clear, but it would be good if the room were reasonably illuminated.
One more thing: The cable has 4 wires... I think there are 2 live conductors. For whatever reason... Attached are photos of the beam and the lamp connection.
