Lamp control with dimmer actuator and wireless switch

If I understand correctly, it's a wonderful application area for Hue, isn't it? What speaks against it? In our (Altbau) the light switch in the children's room was too high, so we simply took a lamp and a switch from Philips and the problem was solved without any tinkering.

Basically yes, but I do not want to use a Hue lamp/light. It should simply work with any normal lamp.
