@ "benkler1401": You will surely wonder later how much money an improper execution can cost! Those who already hold back their wallet on the "pennies," as I put it bluntly, are also not (voluntarily) willing to install a functional solution. Everything I have read about this topic here will not lead to success! If the usable level were indeed only 5mm lower, well, then a transition profile between tile and laminate flooring would be used. The other way would be to raise the lower area by 5mm with a self-leveling compound. Everything else loses, one way or another! Anyone who does not install a vapor barrier with a new (heated) screed should better donate the money for the floor covering to a charitable organization. Because after 3 to 5 months at the latest, the laminate will warp, much to the delight of the Expressionists. Do-it-yourself methods may have their justification up to a certain point without pain. But when it comes to the borderline areas of building physics, you should know what you are doing. Or you pay a lot afterward. --------------------- Regards: KlaRaVapor barrier & OSB boards would already be quite expensive for 121 sqm ....
