Good morning everyone,

I need a cost check for the offer from the shell builder regarding my L-blocks. Those who know my floor plan - we will/have to now set 80cm L-blocks towards the neighbor (and not 150cm) and towards the terrace/carport it will now be 180cm (unfortunately).

The 80cm L-blocks cost us 190€ per meter (29m) with everything included, and the 180cm L-blocks (25m) 290€ per meter. At the same time, the terrace, carport, and driveway will be filled/compacted (5600€), so we will only have to pay extra for gravel+paving later when the time comes. All figures are, of course, net.

What are your experiences with this and what do you think of the offer? Personally, I think it's fine.

A few weeks ago, we had L-walls installed. 60 cm high over 20 meters in length and including excavation, graveling, compacting, concrete, [Noppenfolie], and then redistributing topsoil, we paid almost exactly 2000 euros, so 100 euros per meter.

Best regards
Sabine

On invoice or under the table? Otherwise I would pay double for 20 cm higher + 10 m more, which is not pleasant.

Then get a comparison offer. The forum is only suitable as a rough guideline. Different scope of services, different region, different distances (concrete plant nearby = cheaper). Otherwise, it is pointless to be upset. You are building in a rather expensive region of Germany. Don’t torture yourself unnecessarily by comparing your project with another in Lower Saxony or Brandenburg.

I know. It is still bitter. Maybe I won't get a discount, but I might be able to negotiate a day with an excavator for the [Ringgrabenkollektor]. Let's see if the shell builder agrees to something like that.

We paid a flat 2,000 gross for 10 meters in length, 80cm high, including foundation etc. So slightly less than your offer, although it should of course be somewhat cheaper for the greater length.
