Kitchen planning - input on room planning/logistics desired

How do you want to quickly get salt and pepper from the dining table? or something to drink?

Salt and pepper are simply on the table and accessible from the dining area. Drinks are placed on the countertop/bar. What comes from the fridge is far away anyway (unless a base cabinet is reachable as a drink fridge from the dining area).

I once had it like this in the townhouse with a half wall breakthrough, creating a kind of continuous island. On one wall of the island, everything was within reach for the stove and dining table. The path through the hallway was not long – I considered it a good compromise.
