Hello,

We ordered 2 empty conduits and I am unsure if they were installed correctly...
Attached is a picture from the early construction phase.

1. I have read that KG pipes should no longer be used for this.

2. Part of the pipe was built over. Somehow it feels strange. Is that correct?

I am not a building expert. If I were one of yours, you would surely have given me plans to compare with the facts. Just from the photo, one can only say “yes” to the fact that it looks strange. The plan should state who thought of this for what purpose, and whether it is in the place where it is now. I would have expected it to open completely in front of the wall. But we don’t know what is supposed to run through there and so on. Many questioners have strange ideas about our crystal balls.

Of course, this is not installed correctly, as pipes that partially come out from under the wall do not fulfill their purpose. However, if you just want to pull a few cables through or whatever, it can be less problematic. Unfortunately, ours was built similarly, and we simply put a small bend on it and that was it because it was in the utility room and hidden anyway. I cannot see a problem with the type of pipe. As already says, background knowledge is also required for this.
