KfW loan as equity capital - Who knows this financing?

I have heard that it is sometimes possible to register the KFW loan as equity capital with a bank and thus get better interest rates. Does anyone know about this financing option? Is it dependent on the federal state or can every federal state (specifically in my case Bavaria) access it? I would appreciate your answers!

KfW offers a variety of different programs. Some of them come with liability release for the downstream bank. The programs can be fully or partially considered as equity replacement. For programs without liability release, the bank usually bears the liability towards KfW. In that case, classification as equity is normally not possible.
