Hello everyone,
we are currently renovating a house built in 1978, specifically various rooms inside it.
When the house was built, the rooms were insulated from the inside with 5cm Styropor.
As part of the renovation, insulation will also be added from the outside (10cm mineral wool or a corresponding perimeter insulation for the basement).
I am now wondering whether the interior insulation should be removed in the rooms where this is possible?
Nowadays this is generally not done anymore and it also has some disadvantages regarding the fixing of shelves, etc.
Or is it advisable to leave the interior insulation in place?
Best regards, Christian
