Hello, is there a type of pipe that does not burst or otherwise get damaged if the water inside freezes due to low external temperatures? (e.g., composite pipe with screw fittings, PE with adhesive fittings, PE-HD pipe) Frank

No idea, but I dare to doubt that you will get any kind of warranty on it anywhere. The 10% expansion of frozen water will eventually always win against the pipe or at the latest the joints. Nature always wins! Maybe a continuous steel pipe with 10mm wall thickness.

There are frost-proof outdoor water taps. They work because the pipe length is short and one end is open. But an entire pipe? What are you planning?

Insulating material around it? Helps at least in the stable.

A trace heating would also be a solution, then nothing can freeze. It is often implemented this way in industry.

I want to lay a water pipe into my house for non-potable water. In winter, there could also be frost inside the house (poorly insulated, unoccupied for a longer time).
