Is the strength of exterior plaster testable?

Hello everyone,

our new exterior plaster seems very sensitive to us. My husband lightly bumped into it with the empty trash bin at one spot and it already chipped off. The same happened with slight knocks while installing exterior lamps. The plaster feels very soft to us.

Are there any rules or values for the (impact) resistance? And how can this be tested?

We have Poroton bricks (no [WDVS]) and the plaster consists of 3 layers with full-surface reinforcement and is 3 weeks old.

Thanks to you all.

Plaster dries and hardens. At first, it is quite soft.

I would have thought that 3 weeks after applying the top coat, everything should be dry and already cured? Really, is the process not yet completed?

Just take a look at the datasheet of the processed materials. What was processed in which thickness? It should actually be dry by now. But it also depends on the weather conditions.

But it is dried out. And that doesn't sound good.

Just ask your BU or plasterer.
