PVC coverings must also have chemical resistance, which is tested in a chemical resistance test for household chemicals. These include coffee, blood, red wine, mustard, etc. I do not think that the stains in front of the refrigerator or the stove were caused by food. Much more likely, I assume that the cleaning agents used to clean the appliances had an effect on the floor covering when dripping down.

Hello Mr. Bodemann,

I am following your explanations very closely. Such spots have also formed on my PVC floor. At first, I also thought of oil or vinegar as the cause. Now I also clean our devices and use solvents for this. These could now also be the triggers.

Hello Serena1990 Check most easily who the manufacturer of your flooring is and of course also the exact type of the flooring. If you then go to the manufacturer's website on the internet, you will find technical information as well as care instructions. Have fun

Hello,

Interesting theses from Mr. Bodenmann. I also believe that food is not the cause of stains on the PVC floor. We use many cleaning agents and other things, the causes often lie there.

Many thanks to Mr. Bodenmann.

We also had a PVC floor in the kitchen. Soon there were stains on it and no one could explain it. It must have been some solvents, wherever they came from. I tore out the floor and now there are tiles there.

This solved the problem.
