Is taking a break from studies/leave of absence for house construction sensible?

Hello everyone,

we have not started construction yet, but I would like to plan a leave of absence from my technical school due to the time effort that house construction entails for the builders. When is the best time to apply for leave? During construction or after completion?
House construction including painting and flooring will be done by BU.
I will have the outdoor area done as much as possible (financially). It does not have to be completely finished first; important is drainage, driveway, terrace, and house entrance. (Move-in ready)
According to our plan, construction should start in April 2018, but it has been delayed somewhat so far. I assume they will start in May-June and it should take a maximum of 8 months.
(Leave from the beginning of April until the end of September or from the beginning of October until the end of March)

What was/is your experience and when do most people usually need time?

Thank you very much
Reza

Zizzi, it is not necessary to do that at all. The week has 5 working days, if you go to the construction site every two or three times, preferably when the people are still there, for 30 minutes, that is enough. Choosing, sampling, you can take a day off for that, and okay. Do you want to do a lot yourself? Paving? Painting? Flooring? Then take time off for that, otherwise I think it is excessive to waste a semester because of construction. Karsten

How do you make your technician. Full-time or alongside work in the evening course or on weekends?

If you are building turnkey, I wouldn't interrupt anything. Everyone has obligations and does not interrupt their life.

Part-time continuing education. I am in the 4th semester. Until the 3rd semester, we had classes on Saturdays. Now, until the end of the study, 2x4 days of seminars per semester + preparation and follow-up work for the seminar + according to the plan we are supposed to register for and take exams. Of course, at home we have to work through and study the learning materials we have received. Optimal time planning would be on average 2 hours daily. I still have: 8 to 9 hours work daily 2 hours commuting Family, 1 child, shopping, etc.

Everything is possible! What else would you have to do during construction besides selecting samples? Nothing except occasionally writing emails. You will hardly hold the trowel.
