Hello everyone,
we have received a quote from a painter for our new construction.
Walls and ceilings are all covered with gypsum plasterboards.
The painter will fill and sand the walls and ceilings to Q3.
And then paint with primer.
Afterwards, they should be painted with a high-quality silicate paint and receive a fine-grained texture by mixed-in quartz sand. Some individual walls are to be covered with patterned wallpapers.
Our painter recommends applying a painting fleece before painting to create a more durable and higher-quality base. This should also prevent cracks from the drywall substrate from easily reaching the surface.
During renovation work, this also makes it easier to remove the applied paint and/or wallpaper if necessary. Since the cost for painting fleece amounts to about 5,000 - 6,000 euros for the whole house, we are still considering whether to have it done. What is your experience with this?
Thank you very much!
