Is light rust staining possible on brushed stainless steel door handles?

There are grinding stones that are softer and finer-grained than sandpaper. I then treated the spot with some machine oil and the result was really good after cleaning. You could only see the treated spot if you looked closely.

1) V2a is considered stainless steel, but it is not truly rust-free. 2) V4a, on the other hand, is practically rust-free. However, outside of shipbuilding it is not used for cost reasons. 3) Rust removal. Unipol. K.
