Hello everyone,
we are not building, but want to buy, and unfortunately I couldn’t find any information elsewhere on this topic. I hope you can still help us.
It’s not about the Kfw Home Ownership Program but about program 151 Energy Efficient Renovation. Some time ago, we looked at a house through a broker that met a Kfw standard, and it was said that the renovation was done without funding, so you could claim it when buying. Unfortunately, nothing came of that house.
Now we have found another one that has been extensively renovated in recent years, much of which the owner did himself. The house has a final energy demand certificate with a value of 15 kWh/(m²*a).
This is due, among other things, to the following measures:
300 mm full thermal insulation
320 mm full rafter insulation
200 mm basement external insulation
25 m² large-area solar thermal collector
air-water heat pump
In addition, a 1.4 kW photovoltaic system is installed.
By the way, I am an IT specialist and can hardly make sense of the values, I just think that is good ;)
So, is there a possibility of receiving funding from KfW for a house renovated like this, and if so, what would have to be done?
As mentioned, the renovation was done without funding and for most of it there are no invoices or proof anymore, certainly not for the work itself.
The bank advisor said there is no such funding if you buy a house that has already been energetically renovated, but I don’t want to believe that without verifying it myself.
Thanks in advance for your opinion.
