Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me.
We moved into a new building and my front door handle + rosette currently looks like this:

and I would like to rebuild it so that it looks like this.

So I hope you understand what I mean, I would like to change the plate to a small one that only surrounds the handle and not the cylinder. Do you know if this is possible? Will there be holes left in the door or does anyone know if the long plate I have now is screwed in the middle?

Do you know how such a handle comes off and where I can get the small rosette?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Take a look online under "half set". Part 2 of your question.

For part 1, you have to check yourself. The handle is usually secured with a grub screw like in your example photo. The large protective escutcheon is probably just slipped on. You should be able to carefully lever it off. Underneath you will probably find the proper fastening.
Unfortunately, my crystal ball doesn't say what it looks like then and/or whether there is an ugly fastening (but that is likely with a front door).
