Is it possible to drill Ikea Pax wardrobe Bergsbo frosted glass doors?

Hello everyone. I bought a Pax cabinet with Bergsbo frost glass doors. I am now a bit unsure about the best way to drill the hole for the door knob. I have never drilled doors with glass inserts before and am afraid that the glass might crack. Is there anything I should keep in mind? Or do you have any other tips? I am grateful for any advice.

So all the photos I look at on Google show nothing of a handle on glass. Either there are push-to-open doors or the handles are on the frame. Also on the Ikea page with "PAX / BERGSBO" no handle is visible.

I would not drill into the glass. In the PAX series, there are small handles for the glass doors that can be attached without drilling into the glass. I would use those.

If you still want to drill into the glass - use a glass or diamond drill bit, a flat surface, good fixation, some tape for clean placement of the drill bit, no hammer function, sufficient coolant (you can create a small "lake" around the hole with putty or similar), little pressure (friction heat damages the glass), slow speed, and very slow speed when penetrating the glass.

I would almost bet that it's ESG or something similar. It is tempered, loses its tension with scratches, cuts, and also holes, and shatters. If it is ESG, there is usually a corresponding symbol in one corner. If it is ESG, then definitely no hole is possible afterwards!
