Hello,
unfortunately I have to seek help in a forum. I just can't find the right answers online and since I have to make a lot of ad hoc decisions and research right now, I thought I’d try here. (Ad hoc, because the landscape gardener currently has time to squeeze us in, otherwise we would have to wait another month).
I would like to water my rectangular lawn area with a simple sprinkler system (Gardena OS140). But now I think it might not be enough for my wife’s grass bed and the border planting. So I thought about laying drip hoses there.
Info:
Lawn is about 15m x 6m
Bed should be about 50 cm deep, the border planting the same depth
Water flows about 22-23 seconds for 10 l from the connection (green)
I was thinking the OS140 red for the red area, drip hoses (blue) for the rest.
I already own an OS140 set and a watering controller select

Now my questions to people who are familiar with Gardena systems (my landscape gardener and the people at the local hardware store unfortunately are not).
1.) Is the non-centered, but somewhat edge-placed position of the OS140 okay? The garden is not that wide, and this way the son is less in the way when playing soccer.
2.) Is it possible without a pump with just one connection and a Y-piece (one way for the drip hoses, one way for the sprinkler)?
3.) Or should it rather be an "X-piece" so that the two "drip directions" branch off separately and does such a thing even exist?
4.) If that doesn’t work, should I rather connect a Multicontrol Duo to my water connection (and throw away the select) to alternately control drip hoses with a Y-piece and the OS140?
5.) Or do you think the OS140 can handle it alone and I shouldn’t worry about the drip hoses?

It would be great if someone with Gardena experience could help me with the short-term planning. I have to make tons of decisions every day right now because everything is happening fast.
Thanks!
Best regards
Sebastian
