Hello, we plan to insulate the facade of our mid-terrace house.
Our house consists of 34 cm masonry (hollow bricks).
Now I wanted to ask how much, or whether a full thermal insulation is even an option?!? We heat with a stove that is built with fireclay bricks. It gets really warm and we add fuel again before going to bed because we don’t want to run the heating through the night. We then have a temperature loss of about 5 degrees in the living room and kitchen at around -5 degrees outside, even though the doors are closed. In the evening (10 pm) it’s 24 degrees, in the morning (6 am) only 19 degrees. That’s already quite a lot when you consider that the stove continues to radiate heat for a long time through the fireclay bricks.
I would appreciate some advice :-)
Best regards, Chris
