Hello
We would like to have a wood stove in our new end terrace house, for which an external chimney (is that what it’s called? Like a chimney on the outside of the house) would have to be built. Today I spoke for the first time with the responsible chimney sweep. He asked me whether the stove is even allowed, or if I first have to get the consent of the other homeowners. My reaction: ?????
So I looked it up. In the declaration of division it states:
"Each individual owner has the exclusive right of special use to the entire externally accessible outer shell (outer walls, windows, entrance door) of their separate property. Structural changes are fully permitted."
Then it only says that of course everything must be done professionally and in accordance with legal regulations, and costs and maintenance are naturally our responsibility.
I interpret that now as ....... yes, a stove, a stove!
Right?
Best regards
