Hello everyone,

I am currently planning my kitchen with the Ikea planner and want – as far as possible – to equip all cabinet doors with the Utrusta push-to-open mechanism; the drawers will have the Blankett handle.
Is it possible to also open the upper fridge door (and the freezer door below it) in the tall cabinet with the push-to-open mechanism? Or is its force not sufficient for that?

If I think about it, it probably can’t work because of the heavy fridge door, but maybe someone has experience with it and it does work?

If all else fails, the longest Blankett handle will have to be mounted vertically on the fridge, but without it would be cleaner.

Many thanks and have a nice evening,
Schnaggi

Hello,
there may not be enough space to install the pressure openers. In addition, I would have to have the door pressed in sufficiently to trigger the mechanism. I would leave it.

That alone cannot work because the pressure door opener does not have enough force to push open the refrigerator door. You can already tell how much strength you need yourself to open a refrigerator door. You really have to pull hard. A pressure door opener cannot do that, especially not when the door has just been closed and needs to be opened again immediately (vacuum effect).
