Hello everyone,
my wife found the following canopy on the internet and now wants to have one like it.
(enter "selbst Vordach – Wetterschutz vor der Eingangstür selbst bauen" on google, first hit after the ads")
What I am wondering now is that our roof tiles would weigh about 250kg at that size, does the thing really hold that? Has anyone built something similar with only 2 vertical beams?
Since we have insulation on the wall, I would use the Fischer system for WVDS with 16mm threaded rods instead of plugging directly into the wall and put the 2 beams additionally on beam carriers on the house wall.
I personally have nothing against 4 beams, but one can access the house door from the side at our place and then from the garden gate on the direct way to the front door one would exactly walk into such a beam...
Alternatively, the idea is to take 3 beams and connect only the front one as in the instructions.
However, I have no idea how that would look.
Maybe someone has knowledge about it or has already done something similar.
Regards Patrick
