Is a 4m driveway sufficient for the garage?

If the street is designed very narrow or has a narrow driving lane due to parked cars, even 5 meters can become tight. My neighbors and I once had a parking ban in front of a driveway on the opposite side of the street so that the folks could also get out of their driveway.
