We will soon be able to use the iONA app and iONA box. I would be interested to know if any of you are already working with them. We are looking forward to it.

Since the iONA app is only available to xyz and abc customers who live in the network area of xyz or abc distribution networks (I have anonymized the company names so that my post is not mistakenly interpreted as advertising), I would be interested to know if you use other apps and which ones, or what your experiences with them are. I am already curious about our "power guzzlers." Among others, certainly the sauna.

Thank you in advance for your answers. :)

I had to first take a look at what kind of app this is, but basically it does nothing different than the current meter and the app of our photovoltaic system, meaning it records electricity consumption. What I am still wondering is how you want to identify "power guzzlers" with it? How does the app know which devices are currently consuming electricity if there is no corresponding measuring device at every socket?

How this works technically is not yet known to me, but that does not prevent me from already being somewhat excited about it. ;-) As soon as it is available and I know more about it, I will report. The website describes that the influence of individual devices on the overall consumption can be made visible. In addition, the customer should be able to see exactly where the costs arise, how high they are, devices can be compared, etc. What of this is advertising and what actually works in reality, I can gladly explain later after some first experiences. Maybe someone will still join this thread who has already gained practical experience.

Is the correct meter even installed with you?

This will be done tomorrow at 12:00 pm. :) Afterwards, the box will be sent to us ... and then it can start. So far, everything has gone quite smoothly: On Sunday (06.11.22) we received the supplier's letter by email. On Monday (07.11.) we called a company for "Technical Services," but we were not yet in the system. Today, Tuesday (08.11.), we called the company for "Technical Services" again. We are now in the system and received the mobile number of the technician who will install the correct meter for us tomorrow. :) Since this is all supposed to be free for us, I do wonder who benefits from it or if it serves customer retention.
