Oh yes, ours was designed by an electrical specialist company and is VdS-compliant.

Responding to a genuine alarm is free of charge. If you have your system directly connected to the police (although this is sometimes no longer possible for private companies), then responding to false alarms is billed. However, personal convenience is not covered by taxes, simply having the police electronically check if something is going on. Otherwise, there would probably only be trips to false alarms.

You are probably right. But is the "recognized cat" a false alarm? The system is supposed to detect and report movements, after all?

Well, security services often have a department that deals exactly with such things, and they usually also have recommendations for the appropriate systems.

I will do some research. Meanwhile, thank you. I didn't have that idea!

We have had excellent experiences with Indexa in the lower price segment. If it can be a bit more expensive, then Telenot (both also work great with KNX, by the way, if you don’t want to use ABB GM/A). Then there are also differences between VdS, VdS Home, and "based on VdS" (which is also regularly called differently). However, that depends on what, for example, an insurer requires.
