Hello,

I am new to this forum.

We want to build a single-family house in the near future. Now, you need a decent internet connection throughout the whole house. I would like to implement this via W-LAN, but because of thick reinforced concrete ceilings, I have to somehow cleverly get the signal upstairs.

What is the current plan: Internet arrives in the house connection room. From there, of course, it is distributed throughout the house. A network outlet is definitely planned behind the TV to handle larger data flows.

How do I now get a good/strong signal upstairs without, for example, distributing it via the power grid?

I have already looked with several electrical manufacturers (B+J, Jung, GIRA, ...) for something suitable that provides me directly "out of the wall" with W-LAN. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything.

I hope someone here can give me tips to solve this "problem."

Thanks and regards

Peter

Simply install an access point on each level, which is of course connected with a LAN cable, for example to the router.

Otherwise, just google Homeway.

Hello Peter,

please ask Aunt Google with the following search combination: wlan access point unterputz

Right away, the first two hits are products from manufacturers you mentioned in your question. There are also PoE versions of these flush-mounted access points, so you can power them directly via the network cable, no separate 230V power supply necessary!

You don't have to spend a ton of money on the flush-mounted stuff, a simple surface-mounted behind a cabinet, TV, on the shelf, etc. works better and costs practically nothing

...in the operating room, the clear requirement was "from the wall". Therefore the reference to flush-mounted. Everyone has their own requirements, apart from the fact that the integrated "flush-mounted stuff" has advantages as well as increased acquisition costs.
