Hello,

for our house, we would really like [Innen-Fachwerk]. You can find some very beautiful pictures by searching for [Innen-Fachwerk] on Google.

However, our house is not meant to become a half-timbered house; rather, it should be a "normal" house. Both in terms of its construction and its exterior appearance. The upper floor (OG) does not need to have [Innen-Fachwerk] either. Only in the open living-cooking-dining area (EG) can we well imagine adding some targeted accents with [Fachwerk].

My question is, is something like this possible? One could surely say, "of course, everything is possible." But of course, we want to stay "within budget," cannot afford a star architect, and, as mentioned, do not want a complete half-timbered house.

Since we are in the idea-finding phase, I simply want to ask the question openly and hope to receive some helpful suggestions to either (a) discard my idea or (b) pursue it more purposefully than just looking at nice pictures on Google.

The question would be what it is specifically about: in the form of a room divider, that is considerably more complex than if it only means a doubling up of beam replicas on the wall surfaces (with plaster or strip infill).

With timber frame construction from the carpenter, you could have everything designed to your liking. But even in a stone house, many things should be possible, wooden beams, wooden ceiling, wooden wall, whatever. They have to come anyway for the roof truss. I suspect that with an architect it will be most feasible to implement.
