Hello,

currently we are also looking at possible interior doors.
In principle, they should be relatively simple (white).

From the main contractor, "included" are CPL interior doors from Prüm.
The core is tubular chipboard, so not too bad.

What was also offered to us:

(1) Doors from Herholz in S-Design.
These doors would be flush closing, which we would find very nice, but (still) not flush with the wall (only the frame and door leaf would be flush).
However, we were warned that every millimeter of the door being misaligned would be noticeable and could quickly lead to dissatisfaction.

(2) Completely flush doors using a construction where a steel frame is installed and then painted; this apparently adds about 1.5 cm to the wall, which is then made flush by the plasterer. Here, the door leaf would finally be truly flush with the frame and wall.
With this construction, no special measures on site seem to be necessary as with other flush solutions.

Opinions on the alternatives?
Does anyone have experience with (1) and can report?
Does anyone know solution (2) and the manufacturer who offers it?

Can anyone estimate the surcharge for the alternatives?

Thanks.

Best regards

It’s best if you first have your main contractor name the price for the alternatives, or what will be credited per door if you don’t have them done by the main contractor. And also get offers from other companies that provide doors. Then decide.

A quick Google search at some online shop showed about a 300€ additional cost just for the door leaf. We also had various nicer alternatives to the normal CPL doors, and we never came below 300€ extra per door. Your solution will probably be even more expensive.

Prüm is quite okay. We took a comparable manufacturer.

But Röhrenspansteg is quite okay? After "Pappeinlage" it is the second cheapest option. For a little more money, there is Röhrenspan (significantly better sound insulation) or directly Vollspan.

Yes, probably the most sensible approach.

Experiences with (1) and (2) would still be interesting.

Reads better already. I can't say anything about the other two variants, but I liked the CPL doors from Prüm (even though we ended up with Ringolit).
